MedPro Healthcare Staffing is proud to announce it has raised over $34,000 for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) ‘Light the Night’ campaign. In 2020, MedPro was introduced to LLS through a friend of its CFO, Frank Forbes. MedPro’ s philanthropic committee, MedPro Gives immediately decided to support the initiative and it has been part of the company’s culture ever since.
In 2020 MedPro won LLS’s Rookie of the Year for the Palm Beach-Treasure Coast region. This year, it was MedPro’ s mission to surpass its 2020 performance of $26,572. The organization was broken into teams who competed against each other by hosting unique events such as pie an executive in the face, race-offs, food and drink happy hours, gift baskets, specialty snack carts, and a Hard Rock Seminole Casino weekend giveaway auction.
Light the Night took place on Thursday, November 4, 2021. MedPro raised over $34,000 between its fundraising efforts and $5,000 sponsorship. At the event, MedPro was pleased to learn they placed in the top 3 corporate teams for the Palm Beach-Treasure Coast region.
MedPro’ s CEO, Liz Tonkin stated, “Light the Night was inspired to bring light to the darkness of cancer. As a healthcare organization, we are always looking for ways to support the broader healthcare community and the patients its serves. I am so proud of my team for working together to raise money for such an important cause. We will continue to partner with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society for its Light the Night campaign for years to come.”
