The newly appointed 46th President, Joe Biden, has now entered office and, along with Vice President Kamala Harris, has a steep hill to climb in regard to combatting the COVID-19 pandemic. In an effort to help slow the spread of the surging virus, Biden has called on Americans to assist him in his first executive order, a ‘100 Days Masking Challenge’ campaign.
The new administration will be putting extreme emphasis on public health expert advice. While the mandate can only be installed at the federal level, it will help protect federal offices and lands, but hopefully prompt states to follow suit as well.

President Biden’s plan to rejoin the world, including the World Health Organization (WHO) not only opens the door for improved overseas relations, but also helps America join the global battle against the novel Coronavirus.
The president is also set to restore the Directorate for Global Health Security and Biodefense, put into place by the National Security Council, which will help in preparedness for preventing future possible pandemics and other biological catastrophes.
